Take time for your children.

Our children are a precious gift from God—every one. I do mean precious of the highest value, inestimable. They are the only gift we will receive of Him that is like Him. He has given us a portion of Himself in our children. Life is full of many things but only one is eternal: our children. They are made for eternity and will be in heaven with us depending on our care. How do we care for holy, precious, eternal gifts? What a heavy responsibility and serious one. It is a gift of great joy which gives us much delight and sorrow of heart over the years.

How like our relationship with God. He makes us for His delight and He takes pleasure in us, yet how we stray from Him. He is always available, waiting like a friend until we have time to turn and sit and rest in Him, with Him. The very sin we commit against God, we commit against our children, not enough time.

We love them. We know they are priceless treasures. We don’t have time for them. I am saying, take time for your children…..
